Are your products plant-based?
Our first product is 100% plant-based. We're all about real food that works for real people—whether you're fully plant-based or just exploring healthier, more natural options.
Is the pasta low in sugar?
Yes. Our unripe plantain pasta is low in sugar, making it one of the healthiest meals and pasta.
The ripe plantain pasta has natural sweetness to it and no sugar or sweeteners or preservatives added.
How do I cook it?
It’s quick and easy. Boil in hot water for 5 minutes (al dente), or 6–7 minutes for a softer bite. Then enjoy it however you like—tossed in sauce, in a stir fry, or on its own with a little oil. We have also put together some tasty recipes for you to try here. Enjoy!
Is the packaging eco-friendly?
Yes. Our packaging is fully recyclable. We’re committed to thoughtful, sustainable practices across everything we do.
Can I order now?
Yes! Our first product is available now on a pre-order basis exclusively through our website. Preorder here
What does 'pre-order' mean?
Pre-ordering means you’re securing your product before it officially ships. This helps us produce in small, high-quality batches and reduce waste. You’ll receive updates every step of the way.
When will my pre-order be delivered?
We’ll begin shipping pre-orders soon. Estimated delivery timelines will be shared via email updates. We’re a small-batch brand, so thank you for your patience—it’s worth the wait.
Where are you based?
We’re based in the UK, but our roots and our flavors are proudly African.
Can I cancel or change my pre-order?
You can email us at info@melizas.com within 24 hours of placing your order to make changes. After that, your order goes into prep and may not be eligible for cancellation.
